Names to Remember ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our app.

Information We Don't Collect

We want to be clear about what we don't do:

• We do not collect any personal information
• We do not access or store your contacts, photos, or notes on our servers
• We do not track your location or usage patterns
• We do not use analytics or tracking tools
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not display advertisements

How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage

All information you enter into Names to Remember—including names, photos, notes, locations, and other details—is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data remains completely private and under your control.

iCloud Sync (Pro Feature - Optional)

Pro subscribers have the option to enable iCloud sync. When enabled:

• Your data is synchronized to your personal iCloud account
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's iCloud security
• Data is only accessible by you through your Apple ID
• We never have access to your iCloud data
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings

Face ID/Touch ID (Pro Feature - Optional)

If you enable biometric authentication:

• Biometric data never leaves your device
• We do not store or have access to your biometric information
• Authentication is handled entirely by iOS using Apple's secure enclave

Permissions We Request

The app may request the following permissions to provide its features:

Photos (Optional)

To add photos to contact profiles. You can choose to grant full or limited access, or deny access entirely. Photos are only used within the app and are not transmitted anywhere.

Location Services (Optional)

To help you remember where you met someone by recording meeting locations. Location data is stored only on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is enabled). We never receive or have access to your location data.

Contacts (Optional)

To export saved people to your iOS Contacts app (Pro feature). This permission is only used when you explicitly choose to add someone to Contacts. We do not automatically access or sync your existing contacts.

In-App Purchases

Names to Remember offers a Pro subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system:

• Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple
• We do not collect or store your payment information
• Purchase receipts are validated through Apple's servers
• We only receive confirmation that you are a Pro subscriber, not your payment details

Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• All data is stored using Apple's secure storage frameworks
• Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection adds an extra layer of security
• iCloud data is encrypted using Apple's encryption standards
• The app is sandboxed, preventing unauthorized access to your data

Children's Privacy

Names to Remember does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not contain content specifically directed at children.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following Apple services:

• CloudKit - For optional iCloud sync (Pro feature)
• StoreKit - For in-app purchases
• MapKit - For displaying locations and maps

These services are governed by Apple's privacy policies. We do not integrate any other third-party services, analytics, or advertising networks.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app at any time
• Export: Pro subscribers can export data to CSV format
• Delete: You can delete individual entries or all data from within the app
• Disable Sync: You can turn off iCloud sync at any time in settings
• Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data (iCloud data can be deleted from iCloud settings)

Data Deletion

To completely delete your data:

1. Delete all content within the app, or
2. Uninstall the app to remove local data
3. If using iCloud sync, disable it in settings or delete Names to Remember data from iCloud settings

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
